At Morley Early Learning, we are guided by the Early Years Framework, our philosophy and a variety of play-based theorists, pedagogies, and practices to provide a curriculum that intentionally fosters each child’s learning and development by igniting the imagination, creativity and interests of each child’s growing mind.

A child’s learning is holistic, and we understand the importance of meaningful connections where each child feels safe, secure and supported while they grow and learn.

Our curriculum focuses on the whole child and their sense of belonging, being and becoming as they navigate and explore the wonderful world around them.

Parent Input and Child Voices

We value your input and your child’s voice in shaping our curriculum to ensure it reflects their interests, strengths, and cultural identity. By working together, we create meaningful learning experiences that support each child’s growth and development.

Literacy Skills

We create a literacy-rich environment where children can explore their love for reading and writing through engaging, play-based experiences. Guided by the EYLF, we listen to and incorporate children’s voices, interests, and ideas to provide meaningful, multimodal learning opportunities. Using a variety of hands-on tools, we cater to all learning styles and inspire a lifelong passion for literacy.

Mathematics

We give children a strong head start in mathematics through rich, everyday learning experiences. By embedding mathematical thinking into daily play and routines, we help lay the foundation for future confidence in numeracy. Guided by the EYLF, we support children to develop problem-solving skills, spatial awareness, and early number concepts in meaningful, playful contexts.

School Readiness

At Morley Early Learning, our curriculum and purposefully designed learning environments are thoughtfully adapted to support each child’s individual learning, development, interests, and strengths through a child-directed and play-based approach, guided by the principles, practices, and learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). We value children as capable and competent learners, encouraging a strong sense of wonder, curiosity, creativity, and enquiry as they actively explore the world around them. Children’s voices are deeply respected and embedded within our planning, ensuring experiences are meaningful, engaging, and reflective of their ideas, culture, and interests.

We are committed to nurturing the social and emotional skills that build confidence, resilience, independence, and a positive sense of identity, supporting each child in developing the foundations needed for a successful and smooth transition to school. Through rich learning experiences in science, history, literacy, mathematics, nature play, and STEM, children are encouraged to investigate, problem-solve, think critically, and develop an understanding of their community and the wider world. These experiences support the EYLF learning outcomes, including children becoming confident and involved learners, effective communicators, and active contributors within their environments.

We recognise that school readiness extends far beyond academics. Everyday life skills such as managing belongings, developing self-help skills, building respectful relationships, making choices, regulating emotions, and becoming independent learners play a vital role in helping children feel confident, capable, secure, and happy as they transition into “big school.” Through responsive teaching practices and meaningful partnerships with families and the community, we strive to create a nurturing environment where every child feels a strong sense of belonging, being, and becoming.
